Representatives from CEL Aerospace and CVUT, the Czech technical university in Prague, have signed a contract today for the design, build and delivery of three test benches for the testing of aviation gas turbines. The test benches will be fully autonomous and mobile, the first one will consist of a dynamometer based, fully containerized test cell, with a containerized control room and attendant facilities, intended to test Turbopropeller or Turboshaft engines of up to 3,000 SHP. The two other benches will also be fully autonomous and consist of mobile propeller test stands. All test benches come with their own CEL proprietary Data Acquisition and Control Systems (DACS), and can operate over 750 channels in Low Frequency (100-200 KHz) and High Frequency (200 KHz) modes.
Founded in 1988 by Charles Lussier, CEL is a world leader in the design, build and commissioning of OEM compliant aviation engine test cells and component test benches for APU, Turbopropeller, Turboshaft as well as small and medium Turbofans, for Civil and Military applications. CEL is an OEM recognized Test Cell Manufacturer with Honeywell, Pratt & Whitney Canada and has also worked with GE, Rolls-Royce and Safran for the design and delivery of over 200 OEM compliant test cells projects.
