Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our range of products and services spans from component test benches (pumps, injectors, etc.) to the delivery of complete installations for an international market.

Would you like to put your passion to good use and join the Mechanical Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer?

Working under the supervision of the Director of Mechanical Engineering and as part of a multidisciplinary team (electrical, software, and project management), the Mechanical Engineer participates in the various phases of equipment design projects

Your main responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical specifications based on client requirements

  • Develop mechanical operation schematics (P&ID)

  • Select hydraulic, pneumatic, aerodynamic, and acoustic components

  • Perform pressure loss and preliminary structural calculations

  • Oversee mechanical design using 2D/3D CAD tools

  • Verify production drawings

  • Write and review installation, operation, and maintenance instructions

  • Provide support to production, installation, and commissioning teams

  • Design and validate industrial machines and systems

  • Design welded steel structures

  • Select and integrate machine components (motors, shafts, bearings, cylinders, hardware, etc.)

  • Select hydraulic components (pumps, valves, regulators, filters, flow meters, heat exchangers, etc.)

  • Perform risk analysis and ensure machine safety

  • Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Use problem-solving methodologies (Root Cause Analysis)

Your background and strengths:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in machine design

  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)

  • English proficiency required due to a large international client base

  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor / Vault and Siemens NX (an asset)

  • Team-oriented attitude and ability to mentor junior engineers or technologists

  • Attention to detail and a rigorous approach

  • Creativity in developing simple solutions to complex problems

  • Awareness of budget constraints and delivery deadlines

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Willingness to travel internationally (occasionally)
